Full Spectrum Alpha FSC 750mg Cannabidiol may inhibit cancer growth

Research has long determined that THC in cannabis is effective in halting the spread of cancer, but is limited by it's phychoactive effects, so they decided to see if cannabidiol (CBD) would inhibit cancer invasion, without the unwanted intoxicating side effects of THC. The results of the study were published internationally, including by the National Institutes of Health in the United States.

The 2010 research, published by the Institute of Toxicology and Pharmacology at the University of Rostock, in Germany, found that CBD impaired the invasion of human cervical cancer and human lung cancer cells into healthy cells.

The researchers concluded that the findings provided a novel mechanism underlying the anti-invasive action of cannabidiol and imply its use as a therapeutic option for the treatment of highly invasive cancers.

This study is not unique, as cannabidiol research has been ongoing in Europe for over a decade.

In 2006, the National Institutes of Health published a study by the Istituto di Chimica Biomoelcolare in Pozzuoli, Italy that found that cannabidiol is the most potent natural inhibitor of cancer cell growth in human breast carcinoma.

The experiments indicated that cannabidiol was effective in inhibiting cancer growth because of it's capability to induce apoptosis (cancer cell death) via direct or indirect activation of the human cannabinoid system CB2 receptors. The important thing to understand about the introduction of cannabidiol is that CBD repairs damaged cells, while only destroying diseased cells.

Alternative cancer treatment exists
Individuals diagnosed with cancer should ask their physician if CBD (or cannabidiol) could be used as part of their overall treatment regimen.
